MEN’S FORMAT
Eliminator Qualifying Stage:
All Men will play in an 18 hole qualifying event. The top 16 scores qualify for the knockout stages. In the instance there is a tie for 16th then a playoff hole shall be played, followed by penalty putts to determine the qualifiers. Any ties for other placings are determined by countback. If you are knocked out of the stage you will progress to play in Best of the Rest.
Eliminator Knockout Stage:
After the qualifier, the top 16 players are seeded from 1-16 in a tournament tree format and the competition becomes a 9-hole matchplay format from here on out. Once you lose, then you are out of the competition with the exception for the semifinal losers who will play in a 3rd/4th placed playoff. Any ties will go straight to penalty putts except for the final which will go to a playoff hole and then penalty putts if required.
Eliminator – Best of the Rest
All players who have been knocked out in the Qualifying Stage will then play in a 9 hole (from holes 10-18) strokeplay competition to determine the winner of this section. All scores from the Round 1 Eliminator Qualifying round will be wiped out. This will also determine the ranking points for men’s between 17-45. If there is a Tie for 1st, the winner will be determined by who shot the best score in the qualifying round. Any ties after this then a playoff hole will be played.
Over 45’s (Senior) Format
Eliminator Qualifying Stage:
All Over 45’s will play in an 18 hole qualifying event. The top 8 scores qualify for the knockout stages. In the instance there is a tie for 8th then a playoff hole shall be played, followed by penalty putts to determine the qualifiers. Any ties for other placings are determined by countback. If you have not made the top 8 then you are out of the competition.

After the qualifier, the top 8 players are seeded from 1-8 in a tournament tree format and the competition becomes a 9-hole matchplay format from here on out. Women’s Format
Eliminator Qualifying Stage:
All Women will play in an 18 hole qualifying event. The top 2 scores qualify automatically for the Semi Finals of The Eliminator Knockout Stages. Players finishing in 3rd to 6th places will go in to The Eliminator Playoff Round. In the instance there is a tie for 2nd then a playoff hole shall be played, followed by penalty putts to determine the qualifiers. Any ties for other placings are determined by countback.
Eliminator Playoff Stage:
In this round players are seeded 3-6 and will play a 9 hole matchplay playoff. Ties will be 3vs6 & 4vs5. These matches will be played from holes 1-9. Any ties will go straight to penalty putts. Any player who loses in this round is knocked out of the competition.
Eliminator Knockout Stage:
After the Playoff Stage, all players will play ties in a 9 hole matchplay playoff. Ties will be 1vs4/5 & 2vs3/6. The winners will progress to the final with the two losers progressing to the 3rd/4th place playoff. Semi Finals will be from hole 10-18 immediately after the playoff stage. Any ties which are tied will go straight to penalty putts except for the final which will go to a playoff hole and then penalty putts if required.
Over 55’s Format
Eliminator – Strokeplay Tournament (CAT C)
Both Over 55’s will play in 2 separate tournaments. The first being an 18-hole strokeplay event. If players are tied after the 18 holes, then a playoff hole shall be played and penalty putts if required.
Eliminator – Matchplay (CAT D)
Both Over 55’s will play a 9 hole matchplay from holes 1-9. If the players are tied after 9 holes, then penalty putts will be played to determine the winner.
Junior’s Format
Eliminator – Strokeplay Tournament (CAT C)
Eliminator – Matchplay (CAT D)
Both juniors will play a 9-hole matchplay from holes 1-9. If the players are tied after 9 holes, then penalty putts will be played to determine the winner.
Team Tour, Pro, Amateur & Kent Cup Format
All the above sections (with the exceptions of Pro) will only be played during the 18-hole strokeplay Eliminator Qualifying Stage. Any ties for 1st will be settled by a playoff hole and then penalty putts if required. 2nd & 3rd placings will be decided by countback. Pro category will be determined by the player who has the highest placed finish in the men’s competition.
